Quality Hotel Mildura Grand

We (my partner and I) stayed here during the 2024 Christmas period to experience everything the Mildura area had to offer at this most delightful time of year. Being avid celebraters of Christmas and also country Victoria enthusiasts, we had invested our delicate hopes with the Quality Hotel Mildura Grand…and they did not disappoint. We were greeted at check in by the mouthwatering olfactory treat of fine steak being prepared at Stefanos nearby. The lobby was decorated beautifully for the Christmas season that inspired an infectious wave holiday cheer throughout the building among staff and guests. The room itself was private, sound proof and perfectly climate controlled to meet our needs during our Australian summer stay. The bedroom also had some though provoking art work on the wall that was the source of multiple amusing discussions throughout our time at the Grand. The bathroom did indeed boast a spacious shower, cleanliness and a hair dryer that could dry hair with the best of the its nearest personal appliance competitors. Facilities available to us during our stay were picture-perfect. The smoking area provided was situated in an uplifting Eden like garden setting, making this unsightly habit all the more enjoyable. The pool area was a welcoming oasis where we could retreat from the December heat, kept clean, cool and spacious enough to facilitate many users comfortably. All this was a short walk from riverfront views and some of the most beautiful walking tracks in this beautiful city.

The location is terrific! We got off the bus and crossed the road. Restaurants and cafes were at our finger tips. The staff accommodated our needs, yet respected our privacy. They were super friendly. Reception staff attended to our responses to queries in such a polite manner especially granting us a room with natural light. They went above and beyond our expectations. The facilities were fantastic, clean pool and a wonderful rose garden to relax in and generally a warmer than Melbourne temperature too!!

Did not have breakfast. Location was excellent, central to good restaurants and near the river. We were upgraded to an excellent room, with views, and the receptionist who made the change was patient and professional. My cousin, from England, had only good words for our stay.

The hotel was comfortable, clean, and convenient. We enjoyed being so close to the main riverside park and Loch Island where the Light Show takes place. It was great to be so close to cafes, and to enjoy the Grande's pool.

The Quality Hotel Mildura Grand in Mildura is a grand and historic old hotel close to the New south Wales border. It is a fine place to lay your head for the night. A short walk to shops, restaurants and pubs. Or you can dine in house at their own restaurant. There is no onsite parking which to be honest if I had of realised I would have stayed elsewhere. Leaving my car in a public carpark on the next block (across the road) with a motel tag on the dash was not something I’d like to do again. So location earns a score of 4.
